The party's over?

Despite recently being charged with fraud, Anthony Demasi of Tsunami Capital LLC apparently thought the show must go on: He opened his River North hotspot Crescendo on May 11 with a healthy dose of glitz, glamour and fanfare. The grand opening featured a fashion show, opera singer, Joffrey Ballet dancers and plenty of scenesters and VIPs on hand.

Now, show's over -- for a while at least. Crescendo closed this past weekend, but we're told it will reopen in the next couple of weeks with a brand new management team. We can't wait to find out who that'll be. Stay tuned for updates.

Karma...From ownership down to doorhosts, Resrve, Rino, Crescendo and Manor need a reality check. When your doorhosts and managers think their above god, its only a matter time until that taste what they dish out to paying customers. It's nice to see that the arrogant staff, management and ownership get taxed from the U.S. Government. Despite ***ets being frozen, I hope all four of these drug infested clubs loose their liquor license from the City of Chicago and State of Illinois.

Karma don't be to quick to p*** judgment!!! Spy, cro, and wet have more drugs per establishment than all of the clubs you mentioned combined!!! You obviously have no clue what your talking about. No one that works a door thinks that they are above god but trying to make everyone happy is impossible. Its like trying to fit 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag. Not everyone is going to fit inside each space, thus some people will feel left out(like you perhaps...?). Your comment that its nice to see the arrogant staff being taxed from the us government. Try telling that to the sixty or so people that no longer have jobs and are owed thousands of dollars for the hard work that they performed. You my friend need a reality check. Whether you agree with the politics of going into a club or not, have some sympathy for the people who no longer able to pay rent, or buy groceries because their jobs where stripped from them because someone got jealous...!

Akro,

r u one of those 60 or so bust-outs? Those 60 or so hard-working, innocent stiffs chose their field of employment - how many bartenders, waitresses, dj's and doorman last more than 4 yrs at one job. It's not like their 401K retirement was affected. Oops, I forgot you might not understand the future (anyways, the waitresses will end up working the pole at a strip club). It's comical to read your response - let me guess, you think Tony Demasi is innocent. You, like 90 percent of the Demasi-Dec-and other wannabe worshippers, are nothing.

Whoever this jagoff is talking **** aobut industry people, please get a life. You are probably one of the biggest loosers in the city who couldn't get into a Wrigleyville bar if your life depended on it. I hope whatever boring life you live gets turned upside down and you loose your small sad little job in a sexual har***ment case cause you never get laid!
